DARTMOUTH IS NO

stranger to online auction site eßay—remember when the swimming and diving teams sought a new sponsor through the site in 2002? Or when, a few years later, Olympic shot putter Adam Nelson '97 actually found a short-term sponsor with a solicitation he put on the site?

DAM has surfed eBay in search of other, albeit more mundane, Dartmouth treasures. Among the abundant sports memorabilia and old yearbooks we found a few

items that stood out for one reason or another. Here's a sampling of what we found, along with our winning bids. (Although John Donahoe '82 is CEO of eßay, our bids didn't always win.)

»Dartmouth football player bobble-head doll made in 1962—which appeared in DAM's Sept/Oct 2007 table of contents ($157.51)

» Dartmouth cream ale bottle from Commonwealth Brewing in Massachusetts ($5.24)

» Vintage 1930S-era "felt wiener dog" plush toy ($43)

» Big Green doormat ($9.88)
