To my classmates, apologies for the absence of a column in the last issue. Although submitted on time, a technological glitch followed by our usual sortie to Florida, etc., etc. May it never recur.

A fifth consecutive Collegiate Figure Skating Championship for the Big Green and coach Loren McGean, a substantial score over the next two, Indiana and Delaware. The occasion was further sweetened by comments from Dick Button on TV this spring at the World Figure Skating Championship in Sweden. During the pairs skating championship he recalled the 1950 World Ice Dancing Championship with two beautiful skatersLois and Mike McGean—before they were married, a picture of "beauty on ice." Then showed a photo of the current Dartmouth team with Mike highlighted.

Another Norwich Inn luncheon on Valentines Day saw 16 classmates and wives gather and congratulate each other on our continued mobility. Dick Mallary e-mailed his regrets and continues to monitor the Vermont political scene and comments via the regional op-ed page when moved.

Our class roster is shortened by the deaths of Bert Howe, VP Irl Marshall, James Dean, Paul Olson, Don Scully, Bill Jones and Jack Mudie.
