When the board of trustees decided in April to deny a second term for petition trustee Todd Zywicki ’88, it all but guaranteed yet another contentious trustee election next year. Zywicki, who called former Dartmouth president James Freedman “a truly evil man” in a 2007 speech, is the first elected trustee to not be re-upped. His replacement will be chosen by alumni next spring; there may be additional trustee elections at the same time.
