The Dartmouth Rockapellas made the holidays brighter for many alumni on the East Coast as tney performed at three clubs during December. The female a cappella group started the holiday festivities in New Jersey at the Dartmouth Club of Princeton. The club's holiday party and dinner was held at the home of Drs. Patrice and Kent Allenby '74.

The group then traveled a little north, to perform at the holiday luncheon for the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Rhode Island. The final stop was in Connecticut, where the Rockapellas were the entertainment for the holiday party of the Dartmouth Club of Eastern Fairfield County. Kathy '83 and Russ Mitchell '85 graciously hosted the event in their home. The Rockapellas put smiles on many faces of alumni, family and friends this past holiday season and helped to share holiday cheer.

The Rockapellas were not the only Dartmouth singing group that helped to usher in the holiday season. The Dartmouth Club of Hartford (Connecticut) invited the Dartmouth Cords to their holiday party, which was hosted by Betsy Barth Marantz '93 and Craig Marantz.

The Dartmouth Club of Chicago was entertained by the Dartmouth Gospel Choir in late December at its holiday luncheon. For their holiday party the members of the Dartmouth Club of Maryland were the proud hosts of the now nationally known and adored Dartmouth Aires. Given the group's recent success on the hit show The Sing-Off, the club was thrilled to have these superstars bring alumni together and showcase their talents.

There were also other holiday events that took place around the country where alumni and their families gathered to enjoy great company, conversation and (of course) food. The Dartmouth Club of Greater Miami held a holiday brunch with current students.

On the West Coast the Dartmouth Club of Western Washington hosted a holiday party at the Mount Baker Community Clubhouse in Seattle.

Back in the middle of the country, the Dartmouth Club of Central Ohio hosted a holiday party and also brought alumni together for a wonderful volunteering activity. A local church sponsored the Victorian Village Clothing Room, which provided a shopping experience for those in need. Local alumni from the area helped to sort and arrange the donated clothes so that the event could be successful.

There is no shortage of pride when it comes to Dartmouth alumni, and that is evident simply by the number of alumni clubs, associations and affiliated groups that exist and the hundreds of events held each year.

The Dartmouth Club of Alaska can now be added to the list, as president Ken Miller '84 reported that the club has just started up and more than 35 alumni and guests attended the first event. There is a strong and eager executive committee in place and Miller is thrilled to get this club up and running. Congrats to the new Dartmouth Club of Alaska!

There were so many wonderful club events this past holiday season and throughout 2011. As the spring fast approaches and the green grass starts to appear in Hanover, 2012 is sure to include a variety of club gatherings and opportunities for alumni and their guests to mingle, reconnect and share stories. Make sure to submit your club's activities
