In accordance with the vote of the Trustees President Hopkins is foregoing this year the trip among the alumni associations which he has taken each of the previous four years and has instead gone south on a brief leave of absence.
During the weeks that he is away the direction of the College will fall largely upon Mr. Laycock in his capacity as acting chairman of the faculty, with the business interests and those of the treasurer's office in full charge of Mr. Edgerton.
The Trustee functions inherent in the presidency, meanwhile, will be assumed by Dr. Gile.
