Rev. Roy B. Chamberlain of Middletown, Conn., has accepted a call to the pastorate of the Church of Christ at Dartmouth College. The Rev. Mr. Chamberlain brings to a close the search by the trustees of the church for a suitable man for the position, which was made vacant over a year ago by the death of Mr. Ranney. The Rev. Mr. Chamberlain is a graduate of Wesleyan College in the class of 1909, and also of the Union Theological Seminary. After the completion of his studies he preached at Saranac Lake in the Adirondacks. During the war he held an administrative position in the Y. M. C. A. at Paris. On his return he became secretary of the Wesleyan Alumni Council and graduate secretary of the Y. M. C. A. He also preached in nearby towns.
While an undergraduate he was prominent in the Glee Club, president of his class, and a member of Psi Upsilon, a member of the basketball and track teams. He was very popular with the students and has all the qualities for the leadership of young men.
Mr. Chamberlain is not expected to make his permanent home in Hanover until next August but will visit here about once a month.
