Secretary and Mrs. Dana have the sympathy of the fraternity of secretaries and their host of friends in the serious and well-nigh fatal accident which befell them near their home in Woodstock on the evening of August 8. They were on the point of crossing the street when they were struck by a recklessly-driven automobile. Mrs. Dana was pushed along about twenty feet and with other injuries suffered a fracture of her left arm in two places. Judge Dana was dragged about thirty feet, and suffered a compound fracture of the left leg below the knee in addition to severe bruises. They were taken to Mary Hitchcock Hospital in Hanover, where at this writing they are slowly recovering.
