At the recent election Fletcher Hale 'OS was chosen to Congress from the first congressional district in New Hampshire. Mr. Hale, who is secretary of his class, is a practising attorney in Laconia and succeeds William N. Rogers '15 who was also his opponent at the elections held in November.

From the fifteenth congressional district in Massachusetts Robert M. Leach '02 was elected to complete the unexpired term of the late Congressman William S. Green. Mr. Leach carried every town and city of the district with the exception of Fall River which was about evenly divided. While his home city of Taunton gave a majority for Senator Walsh, Mr. Leach, a Republican, carried the city by more than 6000 votes.
