At the Dartmouth-Vermont game in Burlington, October 20, H. O. French of St. Johnsbury was present. One thing that impressed him was the strong support given the college team by the business and professional men of Hanover, who seemed to have made the trip in large numbers and who showed in every way a marked spirit of loyalty. "Franko" also was on at the Cornell game.

Grenoble and Geneva were followed by England again. Among the many places they visited were Harrow, Bournemouth (partly because of Hardy's "Tess"). Stonehenge, Isle of Wight, Dartmouth. Gloucester, Oxford (eight days), Stratford, and Llangollen. They reached the United States in the "Montcalm" on September 14, and were back in Lake Forest ready for registration on September 16.
