Fred Carroll has been elected a vicepresident of the National Shawmut Bank of Boston, and will have charge of the Trust Department. The election is of course a great compliment to him, and cordial congratulations are in order.
After graduating from Harvard Law School in 1912, Fred was admitted to the Massachusetts bar, and practised law for a year with Hon. Webster Thayer, now Judge of the Massachusetts Superior Court. In 1913, he went to the American Steel and Wire Corporation as attorney and became associated with Frank F. Dresser, general counsel for that corporation, in numerous trials, and in activities before the legislatures of Massachusetts and Connecticut, pertaining to workmen's compensation in. those states. Since 1916 he has been attorney for the Liberty Mutual Insurance Company of Boston.
