HARVEY W. COHN APPOINTED ASSISTANT TRACK COACH

At a recent meeting the Athletic Council appointed Harvey W. Cohn assistant coach of track and a member of the Department of Recreational Athletics. Cohn will handle the freshman and recreational athletic track teams next year. He will also act as trainer for the college teams. Since 1921 Mr. Cohn has been at New Hampshire University where he has made an enviable record for himself and where he became one of the most popular members of the athletic statf. At New Hampshire he coached the track, cross-country," and boxing teams, and acted as trainer of the football team. His cross-country team won all of its dual meets for three seasons and his track team lost but three times while under his direction. Cohn's personal career has been varied and successful. He has been a member of the United States Olympic team, has boxed professionally, and has served as coach of several college track teams and as trainers of many prominent athletes including Jack Dempsey. Mr. Cohn will come to Hanover at the opening of the college year after finishing his summer work as director of the playgrounds at Manchester, N. H.
