THE CHICAGO-DARTMOUTH GAME
November, 1025

About the time last Fall that it was announced that Mr. Amos Alonso Stagg had gone to Hanover to arrange a game between Dartmouth and the University of Chicago on November 14th, alumni situated in that part of the country began to prepare for guests.

The Dartmouth Alumni Association of Chicago, with the memory of that first great Pow Wow in mind, determined to surround this ball game—Dartmouth's first appearance in the Middle West since the Spanish-American War —with festivities appropriate to the occasion.

President John R. Childs '09 appointed a flock of committees who, after several months of activitity, are now able to announce results in the form of a three-day program starting Friday morning with registration at the Drake Hotel—official Dartmouth headquarters—and lasting until Sunday night.

The two major events—in addition to the game itself—will be a banquet Friday night at the Drake, and a dance Saturday night following the game. President Hopkins, President Max Mason of the University of Chicago, Trustee Ed Knight and E. K. Hall, Chairman of the Football Rules Committee, will be the speakers at the dinner.

Every alumni organization in the country has been urged to inform its members that they are expected to arrive in Chicago on Friday and to attend the banquet that night. Arrangements have been made to seat from 600 to 1000 guests, which will easily make this the greatest Dartmouth banquet ever held in the Middle West.

The game will be held at Stagg Field and arrangements have been made to transport all guests from the Drake to the field with a fleet of motor coaches attended by an escort of motor cycle police.

Many classes are arranging luncheons for Friday and Saturday noon, and some of them will hold dinners Saturday night after the game and before the dance.

The Alumni Council will hold its regular Fall meeting in Chicago and a special luncheon will be given the Council members on Saturday noon at the Architects' Club of Chicago.

On Sunday there will be numerous parties at the homes of Chicago alumni and members of the Football Team will be entertained with a tour of Chicago, probably winding up at one of the country clubs for tea.

Alumni coming to Chicago are asked to notify the Chicago Association of their intention. Rooms at the Drake should be reserved at once. Special rates have been secured for Friday, Saturday and Sunday for Dartmouth guests, so it will be wise to mention the fact that you are of the Dartmouth party when you write. Reservations will be made with the Drake direct—not through the committee.

A circular giving the program in detail and complete instructions is being mailed to every Dartmouth alumnus in the country. A return postcard is attached and the Chicago Association begs you to fill it out and return it promptly.

No football tickets will be available in Chicago. All applications should have gone in to Hanover in the usual way. If you come to Chicago without tickets you are lost.
