In the second game of its season the Dartmouth soccer team played a 2 to 2 tie with Amherst at Hanover October 17. Marx scored both goals for Dartmouth. The muddy condition of the field hampered somewhat the lighter Dartmouth team while Amherst's heavy men were able to gain without apparent difficulty.
Harvard was defeated the following Friday, in Cambridge, by a score of S to 1, Dartmouth scoring first when Zanger rushed the ball the length of the field.
In Hanover, October 31, the Dartmouth team, though playing on a very muddy pitch, overwhelmed M.I.T. 10 to 1. Marx scored four goals, Woodbridge three, and Zanger three.
The New Hampshire soccer team was the next to acknowledge Dartmouth superiority, the Green winning 3 to 0 in Hanover November 6.
The concluding game of the 1925 soccer season was played at Annapolis, November 14 when Dartmouth defeated the Navy team by a score of 2 to 1 in a game during which a heavy wind made progress almost impossible. Collins and Zanger scored for Dartmouth, the latter "heading" the ball into the net in the fourth period.
