Mabelle Hepburn, wife of Archibald J. Matthews, passed away February 17, 1925, at her residence, 63 Brookdale Ave., Rochelle Heights, N. Y., after a long illness. Mrs. Matthews was the daughter of Capt. Hawley S. and Amelia Phelps Hepburn, and a niece of the late A. Barton Hepburn. She was born and spent the early years of her life in Northern New York, and afterwards removed to Davenport, lowa, where she resided for a number of years. She and Mr. Matthews have made their home in New Rochelle for the past nine years. Mrs. Matthews was a member of the North Avenue Presbyterian church and active in the work and support of its various departments; she was a member also of the Woman's Club of New Rochelle. She had won a host of warm friends in the city through her charming personality.
Rev. Frank W. Hodgdon, general field representative of the Congregational Ministerial Boards with headquarters in Boston, has removed to Berkeley, Cal., to become a member of the faculty of the Pacific School of Religion. He will also represent the Ministerial Boards on the Pacific coast.
