The Dartmouth Outing Club jumped right into the work of orienting the freshman class and held a series of "feeds" in conjunction with the Christian Association at Mel Adams cabin until every newcomer had had a taste of what Dartmouth has to offer of the zestful out of doors.
The annual membership drive of the D. O. C. was conducted by the 125 freshmen who had signed up to "heel" the organization in competition for Cabin and Trail.
The summer report discussed the rebuilding of Great Bear Cabin, the Commencement gift of the class of 1906, on the side of Mt. Mooselauke. Crews have spent days clearing the miles of trails through the surrounding hills in preparation for the exodus to the woods this fall.
Afternoon trips have already been held to Mt. Ascutney and to Smarts Mountain which have drawn record attendances especially from the freshman class. The D.O.C. is on the way to the biggest year in its history
