The 1911 news this month is concise and brief, partly because the Secretary has not received much and partly because he is rather busy trying to use what information comes in for bulletins and the class report. He has not quite given up hope for the latter, but has become badly discouraged.
Walt Gibson has been transferred by his firm, Lybrand, Ross Bros, and Montgomery, as associate manager in charge of their office at 935 Valencia St., Los Angeles, Cal.
Bill Herron sent in a change of address to the treasurer, showing that he is now located at 90 East Palmetto St., Lakeland, Fla.
Gabe Farrell begs leave to report a second son, William Ranger, born November 29, 1925. Gabe writes, "I sometimes feel that I am a long way from the democracy of Dartmouth as I look from my pulpit and see the Prince and Princess Obolensky, the Vincent Astors, and others of their ilk, who are members of my parish."
Doc Clute has moved his offices to the Lahey Clinic Building, 605 Commonwealth Ave., Boston.
We used to call him "Windy," but now it is, if you please, Lieut-Col. James Harold Batchelor, Field Artillery Reserve. Col. Batchelor has recently been ordered, by a special order of the president, to report, together with other reserve officers, at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, for the purpose of pursuing a course of instruction for reserve officers at the Command and General Staff School from March 14 to June 10. It looks as though "Windy" would have just about time to take the first train for Hanover, as he promises he is coming to reunion.
Hub Pierce writes: "Newport, Vermont, is still supporting me in the law, and incidentally my wife and three daughters, Mary, age nine, Barbara, age seven, and a recent acquisition, Rosalie, age one. You can see from the above that apparently I was satisfied with the first sample, as I have stuck to the same brand."
