About the middle of January ballots for the nomination of members of the Alumni Council whose terms are about to expire will go out to voting members of the Alumni Association. It will be recalled that under the constitution of the Council as now in force nominations are made by the various councilor districts by popular vote. The three nominees most frequently mentioned on the nomination ballots become automatically nominees for that district. The final election balloting is then held on the names of these nominees. The Alumni Council expects to present proposals at the next meeting of the Alumni Association for a modification of the constitution of the Alumni Council by which nominees may be given the opportunity of withdrawing their names from the ballot, an opportunity which does not now exist.
