Announcement has recently been made of the gift by Mr. and Mrs. Edward Tuck of their estate of Le Domaine de Bois-Preau to the French Government. This estate, which adjoins Malmaison will, by the terms of the gift, henceforth be considered a part of Malmaison. To this most recent of their gifts to the French Government

Mr. and Mrs. Tuck have added a gift of capital of 500,000 francs. Mr. and Mrs. Tuck have often previously bestowed generous gifts upon the country in which they now reside. During the war they maintained without outside assistance a military hospital of 75 beds, to the district of Seine at Oise they have given a domestic science school where more than 100 girls are educated, and to the adjoining town of Rueil a. hospital of 25 beds" together with a capital of 5,000,000 francs. In the town of Rueil they also created a public square known as Tuck Stell and gave the ground for the construction of a school. In 1921 Mr. and Mrs. Tuck gave to the city of Paris an exceedingly valuable collection of tapestry, pictures, porcelain, and objects of art and to provide for the care of this collection added a capital of 1,000,000 francs. They have also given an important contribution to the Museum of the Legion of Honor.
