President Ernest M. Hopkins headed a group of nine college presidents which participated in the exercises inaugurating his brother, Louis B. Hopkins, as President of Wabash College, at Crawfordsville, Indiana, December 3. In addition to the Dartmouth president there were present Dr. William L. Bryan, President of Indiana,; Dr. Edward C. Elliott, President of Purdue; Father Matthew Walsh, President of Notre
Dame; Dr. Walter Dill Scott, President of Northwestern; and. the heads of four smaller Indiana colleges.
Governor J. P. Goodrich, of Indiana, a graduate of Wabash, greeted the new president and presented him with the charter of the College as the symbol of his accession to the leadership of Wabash men. As a representative of other Indiana colleges President Bryan, of Indiana University, delivered an address of welcome. The invocation was given by Rev. M. L. Haines, of the Wabash Board °f Trustees, and the benediction pronounced by Rev. H. L. Crain.
President Hopkins was the guest in Indianapolis December 4, following the inauguration at Wabash, at a dinner given by the Dartmouth Club of Indiana.
