The Peaks of Medical History, an outline of the evolution of medicine for the use of Medical students and practitioners, by Charles L. Dana '72, A.M., M.D., LL.D. Paul B. Hoeber, Inc. New York.

Entirely different from the usual "History of Medicine," which one puts on his shelves for reference only, Dr. Dana's book treats of the six most significant phases in the development of modern medical thought and practice. The text is well illustrated, authoritative and interestingly phrased. It will be read with enjoyment and re-read with profit, and will still be an excellent reference volume.
