At the invitation of President Hopkins Governor Spaulding of New Hampshire and President Hannauer of the Boston and Maine Railroad came to Hanover recently and were guests overnight at the President's House.
The visit was planned as an informal conference to discuss how the Boston and Maine could more completely be serviceable to the agricultural and industrial interests of the state and how, in its cooperation, the Railroad could demonstrate its solicitude for all which makes for the welfare of the State. Consideration was also given to the project of a new station at White River Junction.
President Hopkins is a director of the Boston and Maine Railroad.
