A desk which was the property of Daniel Webster, and which was used by him while a student at Dartmouth and during the period in which he later taught has been received by the college as a bequest from Mary R. Cummings of Lisbon, N. H.
It is a small folding desk, about two feet long, a foot wide, and six inches deep, contains several secret drawers and repositories with concealed openings, and has been preserved in very good condition. It is a valuable-addition to the Webster relics which are now located in the Parkhurst Administration building.
