The Dartmouth Plaque awarded annually to that school whose delegation of members in the freshman class at Dartmouth attains the highest scholastic average for the first semester of the year, has this year been awarded to the Tilton School, Tilton, N. H.
Three graduates of the Tilton School, Albert McHarg Hayes of Albany N. Y., Dorrance Earl Sands and William Frederick Sinz, both of Central Aguirre, Porto Rico, attained the remarkable average standing of 3.17 on a scale in which a mark of 4. is perfect.
Other schools whose graduates in the freshman class reached high standing are following the Tilton School: Concord High School, Concord, N. H.; Central High School, Washington, D. C.; Lakewood High School, Lakewood, Ohio; the Lincoln School, New York City, and Culver Military Academy, Culver, Ind.
