UNIVERSITY OF LONDON WANTS AMERICAN HISTORY CHAIR

University College, London, of the University of London issued recently a preliminary statement upon the proposal for the establishment of a Chair of American History in that institution. It is the desire of the Committee of University College, London, that an estimated sum of $150,000 will be required for the foundation of the chair and efforts will be made to interest various persons and bodies in the United States in the project. It is confidently hoped by the Committee that funds for the promotion of this object will also be secured in Great Britain from those interested in promoting friendly relations between the two countries.
