The sudden death of Monty Montgomery has come to all of us as a great shock. Further notice regarding Monty will be found in another section of the magazine. The following letter was received from Mrs. Montgomery:

My dear Prof. Burleigh: I wish to ask you as secretary, to convey my thanks and deep appreciation to the Class of 1911, for the floral tribute sent to the funeral of my husband, Major James B. Montgomery.

Sam Richardson's father writes that Sam is now in Tananarivo, Madagascar, Africa. I assume that he is still in the diplomatic service of the United States, although no reference is made to that by his father.

Cap Weston has just left for several months' research at the Barro Colorado Island Laboratory in Gatun Lake, Panama Canal Zone. Cap says: "My best regards to the class and wishes for a successful year to all."

Cap Hedges writes that David has played in every game for the Cedar Rapids High School this year. He weighs 166, is 5 ft. 10M n. tall, and plays tackle. Some class baby, eh what?

Jack Ingersoll has purchased a half interest in the San-Dor Art Company, Inc., 230 Fifth Avenue, New York city. He is living at the Dartmouth Club and getting home to Concord often enough to make sure that the Head Brick Company, of which he is treasurer and sales manager, still continues to function.

At last Harold Moseley has decided to share his all with another, and on October 30th was married to Catherine Rachel Prophett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs! James Henry Prophett, of Suffield, Conn.

A 1 Wheeler had a fine time at the Harvard football game. You see A 1 was celebrating the arrival of Virginia, his first and only daughter, whose birthday will be recorded as October 22nd.

Burt Burbeck is making his annual visit to the States, looking quite thoroughly the English gentleman. Burt is now manager of the beef department of Swift and Company, Ltd., in London.

Howard Morton is now with Grant and Wadsworth, Inc., Room 1201, 342 Madison Avenue, New York city.

Warren Patten has recently acquired fame for himself by having been appointed secretary of a committee of Republican lawyers to investigate the alleged registration irregularities in Boston prior to the presidential election.

"Shorty" Mayo, sales manager of H. P. Hood and Sons, Inc., ice cream department, has changed the phraseology of his residential address a bit, so that it now reads: 50 Stoneleigh Circle, Watertown, Mass.

Chuck Benton has gone into the insurance business for himself, having both his residence and office at 1000 Winter Street, Wellesley, Mass.

The Boston crowd are delighted to have Dutch Uline transfer himself from Minneapolis to Boston. Dutch has been made merchandise manager of The Shepard Stores, and for the present is living at 30 Rich Street, Waltham, Mass.

Report has it that Snocker Murchie has again been discovered, as a sports newspaper man at the Boston Herald Office, in Boston.

Captain Heinie Chase is now listed in the catalogue of the Connecticut Agricultural College at Storrs, Conn., as professor of military science and tactics. Congratulations, Heinie, on your entrance into a notable profession.

On October 6th Cap Maynard was cabled to the effect that a son, Leonce Benedite Maynard, was born in Paris.

A business address for Nathan E. Preston has been found, viz.: Commercial National Bank Bu'lding, St. Joseph, Mich.

Bob Kimball, who for some time has been one of Josh Clark's cohorts in the insurance business, has purchased a new home at 66 Beaumont Avenue, Newtonville, Mass.
