The Dartmouth Musical Clubs made the most extended trip last month they have ever taken. The clubs travelled 5,00 miles between March 30 and April 17 and went as far west as Denver. They began their series of appearances at the Hotel Ten Eyck, Albany, N. Y., on March 30; following this they played at Bellevue Stratford, Philadelphia, Pa., on March 21; at Biltmore Cascades, New York, N. Y., on April 2; at Hotel Seneca, Rochester, N. Y., on April 3; at University Club, Cleveland, O., on April 4; at Book-Cadilac, Detroit, Mich., on April 5; at Congress Hotel, Chicago, Ill., on April 7; at The New Pfister, Milwaukee, Wis., on April 9; at Nicollet Hotel, Minneapolis, Minn., on April 10; at Central High School, Sioux City, lowa, on April 11; at Burns Thea- tre, Colorado Springs, Colo., on April 12; at Scottish Rite Cathedral, Denver, Colo., on April 13; at Roof Garden Hotel, Hotel President, Kansas City, Mo., on April 14; at Hotel Sinton, Cincinnati, 0., on April 16 which conconcluded the trip. The clubs gave three radio concerts which were broadcasted over stations WIP, WHAM, WFBL, WMAK, and WJR. Fifty men, including two faculty leaders, N. G. Burleigh, Graduate Manager of the Council on Student Activities, and H. P. Whitford, and the three student managers, R. L. Rickenbaugh '2B, A. C. Bertch '29, and J. A. Bliss '29, made the trip. The College was saddened during the past month by the death of two undergraduates: Charles R. McMillan '28 of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, and Carlos W. Sanborn '38 of Concord, N. H. McMillan died March 29, the night before vacation began, at Dick's House as the result of a sudden attack of double pneumonia. He had apparently recovered from a light attack of grippe about a week before, and went to his classes until he was suddenly stricken three days before his death and went to Dick's House. Sanborn died at his home in Concord April 3 of influenza, after an illness of only five days. Pie had left Hanover with a bad cold two days before the vacation began.
