The first issue of "The Dart," the new magazine written entirely by present and former members of the English 3 and 4 classes, under faculty supervision, went on sale recently. This magazine is not an effort to intrude upon the fields of writing covered by The Tower or The Tomahawk as it is merely an adventure in the literary field publishing articles which the members of the English Department consider worthy of recognition, and further issues will not appear unless it is felt that such is the wish of the student body.

The magazine is unique in that there is no advertising in it, and no appropriations were made to publish it. It is being backed entirely by volunteer contributions from about half the class. If the issue of 500 copies sells well, it may become a permanent medium for the members of the class and will be issued once, twice, or three times a year, according to the quality of the work done.
