At a special meeting of the Phi Beta Kappa Society of Dartmouth College, held on March 25, William Magenau '29, of the Sigma Chi fraternity, was elected to membership. Magenau, who comes from Concord, has an average of 3.2 for three and a half years.

The newly elected officers of the French Club are W. D. G. Casseres '31, of Cartago, Costa Rica, president; R. D. Cleaves '32, of Chicago, vice-president; and D. N. Borkum '31, of Chelsea, Mass., secretary-treasurer.

The club produced, on April 26, the Moliere play, "Les Fourberies de Scapin."

S. A. Cohen '29, of Nashua, N. H., winner of the college current events exam, was awarded sixth place in the intercollegiate current events contest sponsored by the New York Times.

The Arts sponsored an exhibit of original drawings, paintings and sculptures executed by members of the College and residents of Hanover, during the week of April 15. The exhibit was held in the Baker Memorial Library.

At the annual election of the D. C. A., R. L. Funkhouser '3O, of Dayton, Ohio, was chosen president; W. Milne, Jr. 'SO, of Newton, N. J., vice-president; B. C. Houghton '3O, of lowa City, lowa, secretary; and F. H. Horn '3O, of Toledo, Ohio, treasurer.

Prof. Eric P. Kelly gave the seventh of a series of informal talks in the Tower Room of the Baker Memorial Library, on an exhibit of Russian and Polish literature which was displayed there.
