Walter Kennedy, who is associated with Messrs. Hayden and VanAtter, investment bankers in Detroit, visited friends in Boston the first week in June.

"Cully" Pierce, who has been engaged in the retail lumber business in the Boston market for several years, recently sold his lumber yard, which was located in Charlestown, Mass. He expects his family to be located as usual at Kingston, N. H., for the summer.

Norman Cushman has taken a cottage at Duxbury, Mass., to which point he will comute during July and August.

The United Corporation, of which George Howard is president, is growing rapidly. A special meeting of the stockholders has been called to authorize the increasing of their capital stock from thirteen million to thirty million shares.
