Class Reunion - The 55th Hanover — June 13, 13, 14

Your secretary has always said if he could get by the month of March, he had another year's lease on life.

It's been a tough cold winter in the Berkshires with little snow. At this writing he is hitting 77%. Took a trip to Phoenix in February and in a couple of weeks he will be off to Florida for a month - and should be right up there with Ted Williams by April 15. He found Arizona a delightful country - a great vacation land.

Quite a number of the boys have been under the weather, but all seem to be on the mend. Pen spent a few days in the New England Baptist Hospital. He presently is at home. A telephone call to him last night found him greatly improved. Charlie Davis had a heart attack and has spent nearly a month in the Springfield, Mass., Hospital. With the help of many cards and a bouquet from classmates which cheered him greatly - and for which he is truly grateful - Charlie will be at bat come June.

Our sailor boy, Squid, has weathered the gale and will be on deck with many a tale of Christopher Columbo. Gather around boys.

Some of our travellers have returned from their cruises. The Woods from the Barbados; the Streeters from Italy — While in Italy Tom had a visit in Rome with Monsignor Pierce (Bemis to us). They had not met in over 50 years. These two men, one a theologian, the other a scholar, must have had a great intellectual treat over their cup of tea. Bemis was not in too good health. One of the great friendships formed in the class has been that between Bemis and Al Terrien. Scarcely a week passes without a letter exchanged between these two men.

A letter from the Maynards from Maine tells of the tough winter down East and incidentally Cloyd tells of the great work his grandson, Elliot, is doing as a freshman at Washington and Lee, both scholastically and as a member of the swimming team.

Had three notes from California this month, a very appreciative one from Mrs. Bob Fiske from Twenty Nine Palms, Calif., who retains her interest in the Class of 1904 - It's nearly five years ago Bob passed on. He had hoped to be with us at our 50th Reunion.

Another note came from my KUA classmate and roommate freshman year, Roscoe Smith. Having a delightful winter in La Jolla. He had just had his first plane ride. Tighten your belt, Old Timer!!

A surprise postcard came from Myron and Wayne Perkins from Fresno, Calif. These two Tri Kaffas are enjoying a visit together - nice to hear from you both.

Card from Hanover with notice - Clarence B. Paul is in a rest home - 596 Summer Street, Brockton, Mass.

King Woodbridge sends me the annual report of the Dictaphone Corporation, of which he is the Chairman of the Board and Chairman of the Executive Committee, a great Company - headed by a very able classmate.

Keep hale and hearty - for our 55th Party - June 12-13-14 — at Hanover.
