Knight and Howland got together in Canada in September for their annual fishing trip.

Professor Brackett and wife spent the summer in the East, visiting their son Frederick in Maryland and the younger son, Parkhurst, in Cambridge, Mass. Later the whole family, eight in all, spent the latter part of August in Southport, Me., where the Secretary had a real reunion with Brackett, and the pleasure of making the acquaintance of the whole family, including wives and grandchildren. Frederick, the older son, is engaged in research work in the Smithsonian Institution, Washington, while Parkhurst is connected with the chemistry department of Harvard.

Prof. George E. Johnson's daughter Rachel was married June 30 to Mr. Harry T. Goerger, director of physical education at the University at Wichita, Kansas.

Burnett's son Robert is connected with the American Optical Company at Southbridge, Mass. His daughter spent the summer in Europe. She has taught in the junior high school in Quincy, Mass., the past two years. The Bacons spent the summer at Eastham, Mass.

The Shaws made a trip north during the summer, visiting among other places their old stamping ground at Corvallis, Oregon. Hadlock spent his time off in a trip through Canada.

"Voice at Eve" by Elaine Goodale Eastman was published recently by the Order of Book Fellows, San Francisco.

Dr. J. B. Rogers paid a visit to New England this fall, and his nephew entered the College.

The Sydney E. Junkins Company's design for a new pier at Vancouver, B. C., was accepted. The pier is to be similar to one previously built by that company.
