Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Johnson presented the nation with another sturdy male on October 18 in the person of Edward Manning Johnson.

Your inspired Secretary spent October 1125 in Hanover as part of his vacation. In their usual fashion, 1922-in-Hanover, cousingerman to Yale-in-China, entertained him in their respective domiciles. An easy way for an ambitious hostess to see her name in print is to invite said Secretary to the house. So a gracious bow to Mesdames West, Leith, and Hamilton. Among others we saw in Hanover was Dave Camp, whose service of the telephone company has landed him in Sherbrooke, Canada, of which some of you may have heard.
Another we met was Bill Harris, who was covering New Hampshire for a machine company. He was bitter about the taciturnity of some of his friends whom we could name, but won't. His old home being in Leb, Bill often gets to Hanover.
Great credit should go to Andy Marshall for a fine class dinner at the Boston University Club the night before the Harvard game. No less than 33 of the brethren appeared for the fray, and it was called by all the best party ever held by our crowd in Boston. There was a lot of grousing about our class having to sit in the colonnade at the Stadium the next day, but the growls changed to chirps of delight when the day proved to be as foully rainy as could be. Here is the list of those who were at the dinner: Ted Dyer, Jack Strauss, Mike Adams, Haskell Cohn, Frank Leland, Carter Hoyt, Dick Stetson, Hal Burnham, Dick Johnson, Mario Mesquita, Mai Clark, Len Morrissey, Ham Spiers, Frank Horan, Carroll Dwight, Gerry Murphy, Jack Aborn, Charlie Earle, Bill Carter, Elmer Ardiff, Ray Rambach, Bud Winkler, Dick Litchfield, Andy Marshall, Ken Lynde, Wallie Kopf, George Stanley, Joe Perkins, Jim Hamilton, Tom Carpenter, Dick Willis, Harry Griswold.
During that week-end we stayed with the Dick Stetsons at their new home in Brookline. Dick has become associated with several distinguished Boston physicians at 311 Beacon St., and welcomes fractures, wens, and housemaid's knee.
We were also entertained at dinner at the Carroll Dwights' tidy manse in Newton, where Mr. and Mrs. Spenny Smith were also guests.
The birth of a daughter to the Clark Bristols has been reported to us by Andy Marshall.
Carl Davis, after a year working in Johnny Johnson's company, has taken service with Macy's in New York, in the warehouse division.
Wally Kopf was at the Boston dinner, and reports that he is doing well in the real estate business in Cincinnati, where he is associated with his brother and others.
Tom Carpenter, spouse, and offspring spent a few weeks in Boston as a vacation from the Florida pursuits.
Earle Smith and Miss Esther Chandler, daughter of Mr. John H. Chandler of Newton Center, Mass., were married on Octoberll.
Miss Anna Fitzpatrick, daughter of Mrs. Mary E. Fitzpatrick of Detroit, and John Shea were married at Our Lady of the Rosary church there on October 18.

You may see a Twenty-Twoter before you see these notes, or vice versa.
