Spring is in the air, and by way of celebration the weatherman brought in four inches of snow on April 6. Everything should be warmed up by June. So start getting out the Green Book and the Aegis and begin to memorize those names. While you're at it, may as well get out the check book and help the Alumni Fund remember you.

The Elmira, N. Y., Star Gazette reports that Bob Quinn is moving up the corporate ladder of Corning Glass. Some more detail, Bob?

Responding to my plea for news was Dave French. Dave and Bonnie with daughters Elizabeth (4) and Allison (2) moved to Germany from Cologne last year and welcome Dartmouth visitors to 5038 Rodenkirchen Mettfelderstr, 26, West Germany. French peddles property insurance for the American Foreign Insurance Association. Dave bumps into Roy Halstead occasionally. In fact Dave has replaced Roy as class agent for the Alumni Fund in that part of the world. (Probably take turns writing to each other). Dave will be landing in the States on June 14 or 15 and make the milk run to Hanover.

Thanks to his lovely wife Ellen we learn that Barry Lavine is keeping busy in the medical field in Boston. Barry is an internist (with a sub-specialty in chest diseases) at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Just to keep busy he is also an assistant professor at Harvard Medical School and is in demand as a lecturer on respiratop functions. Guess that beats an evening in front of the tube. The La vines (including daughters Susan and Rachel) reside in Newton Center and are looking forward to seeing everyone in June.

The word out of Minneapolis is that Dave Schwantes has been named manager of corporate analysis for Josten's (manufacturers of memorabilia and related products for students and businessmen). Dave had previously been associated for eight years with Pillsbury, where he landed after picking up his M.S. at the University of Minnesota. Dave and Margaret and their two boys can be located in Burnsville, Minn., where Dave is a village councilman.

Well on his way to legal success is BillMcDonald who was recently named general attorney for New England Telephone in Boston. Bill has been active in the labor relations field during his legal career, but still managed to find time to spend a few years in the Army and earn a masters in law from Georgetown.

Another successful '62 barrister is BobMitchell, who is now a federal magistrate in Pittsburgh. Bob had been serving as law clerk for Federal Judge Louis Resenberg since graduating from the University of Pittsburgh Law School in 1967. Bob and Leslie along with son Barry (2) are domiciled in Shadyside, Pa.

Lou Coronis had a small gathering of 62's in Nashua, N. H., a few weeks ago. Although Boston Bruins hockey seemed to hold the crowd down, Bill Edgar and Dave Robbins found their way. Bill is working in Nashua for the Nashua Corporation and Dave counts money for the Federal Reserve Bank in Boston. It was a good time and merits the suggestion that you arrange pre-reunion gatherings to help ease the pain of "what was his name ..."

Time to drop this in the mail and keep the powers of the Magazine off my back. Try to get your reservations into the reunion committee soon. New Hampshire is beautiful in June.
