The following is taken from the April number of Proceedings of the AmericanSociety of Civil Engineers: "Thomas Pearson Kinsley has been affiliated with the American Society of Civil Engineers longer than any man now living. He was elected a member February 5, 1873. A year ago the list of oldest members was headed by Clemens Herschel, who has just died, followed by William W. Maclay, who died in June, 1929. Mr. Kinsley was third in that group, and now heads the list. He was born in 1845, graduated from Dartmouth College in 1866, and has practiced as engineer or contractor on parks, canals, street railways, subways, and private landscape work. He retired from active practice in 1923, and now lives in Hamden, Conn."
