TRACK AND LACROSSE BEGIN
MAY 1930

Lacrosse and track have not yet started, and tennis and golf are still in the dormant stage despite the fact that Hanover is thawing out after the winter snows and rains. Tommy Dent has the makings of a good lacrosse team, and even if the average undergraduate knows nothing about the game, colorful attractions have been listed for this year. The Green team will open against Oxford-Cambridge this month, and then on down the line through the leading schools of the East.

Tom personally supervised the making of the lacrosse headgear for his men, going to the northern part of Vermont and living on an Indian reservation while he saw the protective devices made. They bear Dent's name, we understand, and are first-class in every way.

Harry Hillman has been out on the cinder track every day, moulding another team which will face Harvard in a dual meet in Hanover on May 17, when the boys will get their first real test of the season.
