A very interesting editorial appeared in a recent issue of the New York Herald Tribune entitled, "The Country Doctor Shortage." Our own Doc Burnham of Lebanon, N. H., was freely quoted in this editorial, which was inspired by a survey of the staff of the Albany Medical College, on the unfavorable situation caused by the decline of the "Family Doctor" profession. We are indebted to John Hemsen of the class of 1913 for bringing this editorial to our attention.

Pet Pettingell's work with the Alumni Fund quota has been followed with a great deal of interest and appreciation. Not only the increased amount needed, but the conditions of the present time required an extra amount of work on the part of Pet. The final report has not as yet been issued, although it is rumored that our quota has not been reached. Regardless of the result, Pet has done a great piece of work, and he deserves all of our thanks for it.
