The Dartmouth Club of the Palm Beaches staged a fine luncheon the middle of March with a large attendance from many classes. The speakers and honored guests, besides a few undergraduates were Charlie Zimmerman '23 whose informal and friendly talk was most interesting (did you know that Dartmouth has more men in Who's Who than any Ivy League college?) and Seaver Peters '54, the personable Director of Athletics, who brought us up-to-date on the over-all athletic program at the College. Representing 1919 were King Cole, EdMartin, staying at the Breakers in Palm Beach, Rock Hayes, staying in nearby Pompano Beach, your Secretary, about to retire, and a surprise visitor, Collie O'Gorman. We immediately got after Collie about reunion and he will be there. He is hoping that his old Tri-Kap pals, Lefty Farrar and JackMcIntyre will be on hand. Jack stopped in to see the Rands and he is in his customary fine shape.

Your Secretary had a golf game at the Country Club of Florida with Spider and Jim and Ruth Chilcott '20, with Bea acting as referee. Socially, it was a great success-the golf left something to be desired, although the Wellesley flash came through with a good back nine. Jock Murray called one day to gleefully report that he made a hole in one on the 7th 120 yard hole at Sherwood Park here in Delray. The club used was not mentioned. He joins Jim Davis in this feat - any other customers???

Stan and Alice Mauk are at the Silver Springs Motel at Key Biscayne (practically next door to the Nixons) and do not think kindly of our Florida weather so far. However, the Mauks will be there through April and it must get better.

Fred and Gert Daley stopped by on one of their rare trips to the East Coast and our eminent Class Agent is optimistic about our projected showing on the Alumni Fund so don't let him down - as Charlie McGoughran '20 says "Get it out from under the mattress."

Dick and Spike Dudensing have spent several months in Southern Pines, N. C., and have seen quite a bit of the Norris Hodgkins. However, it would 'seem that they did not come, far enough south as they had a couple of snowstorms, north winds, and low temperatures. They hope to come further south in April.

A card from Ed and Jessie Fiske postmarked Madeira states that it is absolute beautiful there. The Fiskes will be leaving for Lisbon, London, Nice, and back home by ship from Cannes. home

Bob and Anne Lewis plan an April jaunt to the Carolinas and possibly Georgia with a stop in Williamsburg on the way back to Lebanon.

Summarizing 1919's invasion of the East Coast from Key Biscayne to Palm Beach a, one time or another Jack McIntyre Stan Mauk and Alice, Rock and Alice'Earle Hayes, Lou and Harriett Munro, Jock and Edna Murray, Jane Cody Blyth, Ed and Bea Martin, Stu Russell, Tony Bevan Col lie O'Gorman, Fred and Gert Daley all helped brighten up what has been a poor winter by Florida standards. There may have been more but your Secretary's memory is slowly failing.

By now 1919 should be well on its way to meeting its quota on the 1969 Alumni Fund If not, it is the fault of those classmates who have not, as yet, come through on this our 50th year since leaving the Hanover Plain. Try and make it the one third increase that Fred Daley wants to make it sure that we go over the top!!
