Mrs. Carmen Matheuy, widow of Henry Hall Hanson, has returned to her former home in Central America, where she will make her permanent residence. Their son, Richard L., holds a position with Charles Leich and Company, wholesale druggists, Evansville, Ind.

We have just received word of the death of Frank T. Vaughan at Boston on March 18, after a protracted illness.

Henry W. Thurston, professor in the New York School of Social Work, has been appointed chairman of the City Conference of Social Work for 1931 to be held at the Pennsylvania Hotel, New York city, May 19, 20, and 21 under the auspices of the Welfare Council. Professor Thurston will conduct a ten weeks' summer course beginning June 17 at the University of Washington, Seattle, in "Child Welfare, Community Organization, and Social Pathology."

Newton, Kelly, Harris, and Thurston lunched together in New York Saturday, April 4.

Mrs. Snow and the Secretary enjoyed a three weeks' trip to Bermuda in March.
