Arthur Boisseau was sent against Yale the following day under perfect weather conditions and he shut out the Blue 3-0 in a League game. This time things were not going so smoothly for the youngster, and he was in constant hot water from beginning to end, but the story of 13 Yale men left on bases is a tribute to his pitching in the tight spots.
Twice Yale had the bases full but did not score, and brilliant fielding by Rolfe and Myllykangas cut off many a run. This pair took part in two double plays, twice with the bases full, and much of the credit should go their way.
By this time Dartmouth was going along with a fixed lineup and to date it has not been changed. Howard Harvey, Eddie Picken and Wilbur Mack form the outfield, while the infield shows the familiar faces of Hank Barber on first, Myllykangas on second, Rolfe at short and Tom Eagan on third. Harold Andres continues behind the bat, with Way Thompson and Boisseau in the box.
Followed a surprising game in which the Green team was the villain with Vermont the hero. It seems that every year sees our friends from Burlington come to town and win a baseball game and this was no exception. Vermont won 8-5, after the Green had piled up a 4-0 lead behind Way Thompson, but had blown it in two innings of a quartet of runs apiece. Harold Andres did not play, and possibly his absence had some effect on the pitching, for Andres is rated as one of the East's best in the catching department. Ken Weeman, last year's freshman captain, made his varsity debut but was very unsteady behind the bat, and Thompson issued three successive bases on balls in the fourth to allow the score to be tied.
