A committee headed by E. K. Hall '92 to review the difficult problem of football ticket distribution has been appointed by President Hopkins at the request of Harry R. Heneage, supervisor of athletics, it was announced from the President's office March 21. The Athletic Council, seeking a solution to the problems which it faces every year in alloting tickets, especially for such an oversubscribed contest as the Harvard game, has asked for the appointment of a committee representative of all the interests involved, to survey the question of equitable distribution of football tickets.
Mr. Hall, who is chairman of the committee appointed by President Hopkins, was formerly a member of the Board of Trustees of the College, for many years president of the Athletic Council, and is at present chairman of the intercollegiate Football Rules Committee. Clarence G. McDavitt 'OO, of Boston, Massachusetts, will represent the alumni on the committee. Mr. McDavitt, who was manager of football as an undergraduate, has at various times in the past been president of the Athletic Council, of the Alumni Council, and of the Alumni Association, and chairman of the Alumni Fund Committee. Other members of the committee include Professor Charles A. Proctor 'OO, a member of the Dartmouth faculty and for many years a faculty representative on the Athletic Council, who will serve as representative of the Council and of the faculty; Sidney C. Hayward '26, secretary of the College, representing the Association of Class Secretaries, the General Alumni Association, and the Alumni Council; and Albert I. Dickerson '30, assistant to the President, who will serve on the committee as representative of the Alumni Fund, of which he is secretary.
The committee will welcome recommendations from the alumni.
