Number Two infield has Roald Morton, the kid brother, playing first base, Jim Chesnulevich at second, Walt Keady at shoit and reliable Aarne Frigard bringing up at third.

Morton is in the hardest spot of all, for Barber has been the regular first baseman for two years and has started off on a hitting spree right off the bat. But Morton has two more years ahead of him and right now is playing fine ball. Frigard is in the role of utility player and is probably the most valuable spare man on the squad because he can fit into any position, infield or outfield.

I can't look at Mr. Chesnulevich wholly impartially, for we have just finished an 1800 mile jaunt to North Carolina together which served the joint purpose of getting away from the snow and seeing Pinehurst at the busy season, but I still think that he is a mighty good second baseman and perhaps the most improved player on the squad. The fellow who plays shortstop will be better known if he is described as Tom Keady's son. and he is following his father in interest for baseball.

Now that is the set-up at present and there is absolutely nothing definite about the makeup of that infield. In fact there is not a one position player in the first infield, exclusive of the ponderous Mr. Barber who of course plays only around first base. The rest can all be shifted around at will and they neither weaken nor strengthen the combination no matter what position they play. I don't know if this is a good point or not, but that is the fact.
