Our first bit of news this month comes to us in the form of a newspaper clipping sent us by Ye ALUMNI MAG editor about Dorothy Dix. Can't remember any Dorothy Dix in the class but maybe so. The next line is, "Girl told to face fact of fizzled enthusiasm." Surely there must be some mistake. Let's turn this thing over. Now we have it, "Who are James Russo and Michael Ellis, Producers of Two's Company?" This is '39er Mike Ellis who with his partner were the first producers able to sign Bette Davis for a stage show now on Broadway. No fizzled enthusiasm here, as this represents quite a coup in the theatre world, and makes the fifth show this combination has produced. The last was Courtin' Time. Looks like we'll be hearing more from these boys.

All you guys with new additions are making Homer Skeels very happy indeed, because Homer is making the "Reddy" diaper pin that is now sold by the millions all over the country. The Skeels have three children, Ann, 12, Deborah, 10, and Frederick, 5 years, and live in Montpelier, Vt.

Bud Finck writes from Nogales, Ariz., on the Mexican border where he has been engaged in the retail furniture business since April 1951. Because Nogales is on the border he does a large export business and is now speaking what he describes as, "good furniture store Spanish." Bud is extremely enthusiastic about the climate, his new ranch house and the great expansion of the West, west of Mexico, that is now just starting, due to the growth of large scale farming. Bud reports seeing Joe Shaw in Dallas on the way out, and Tom Gist in Tucson, although he hasn't seen him recently. Like almost everyone else, Bud is planning on an Eastern trip that will have him back in Hanover for the big doings in June.

We haven't heard from Phil Sauer in some time, but word has come from Phil in Minneapolis. The Sauers have two children, a daughter, 13, and a boy, 12 next March. Phil has a busy year coming up as master of the largest Masonic Lodge in Minnesota, Ark Lodge 176 in Minneapolis.

Herb Mattlage continues to hammer Math and Physics into the boys at Belmont Hill School in Belmont, Mass. He helps out with football coaching during the season, has two children, and spends the summers and any other odd moments at an old farm recently purchased at Wolfeboro, N. H.

After several moves around the country, including Cleveland and New York, Dick Clark is back at Monsanto Chemical Headquarters in Everett as Manager of Textile Sales and living in Melrose. Wes Goding stopped by while up from New York for the holidays. Wes is claims manager for Liberty Mutual at their Brooklyn office, and recently obtained his law degree the hard way via night courses. While in New York Dick had seen Bud Blunt a few times. Bud was with Melville shoe, in the real estate department, for the Tom McAnn shoe chain.

Harriman Jones is living in Cambridge with wife and daughter and teaching French at Brandeis University.

I have just come back from a visit with RedJensen who is now recovering from an attack of polio at the Mary Mac Arthur Polio Research Center in Wellesley Hills. Red has had a most harrowing time, but, as would be expected, his morale is terrific and he is getting better. During his transfer by ambulance from Springfield the batteries of the chest respirator failed, and the last part of the trip was at 90 miles an hour. Many of the class have written to Red and he would be very pleased to hear from others.

By the time you get this, Whit Cushing will be back in Miami for the winter art season. ...Scotty Taylor is managing a public park out in Wyoming, including indoor and outdoor mineral baths.... We have a new address for Dick Ordway Hillcrest Drive, Morristown, Tenn. ...BobElkins is in the contracting business in Springfield.... Phil Johnson is married and in the wholesale food business in Needham.

Mort Ensor is living in Lexington and in the lumber business in Everett.... Lt. Col.Eddy Palmer has duty at the Walter Reed Hospital in Washington.... Bob Warner with the Cleveland Regional Blood Center, American Red Cross, and living in Bay Village, O. ... Recent visitors at the Hanover Inn were Bob and Mary Dickgeisser.

That's about it for this month. We happen to know, your roomie is going back for reunion, so you better plan to be there too!
