The questionnaire shows that nearly 100 members of the class may be expected at the reunion in June. The Supreme Economic Council was delighted by the results, and plans for the entertainment of the voters are now proceeding on the basis of these enlightened estimates. May 7 your servant was in Hanover, in attendance at the annual meeting of secretaries, and went over all the plans with Messrs. Hamilton and Olsen. Everything appears to have been provided for, except the composition of a quartet. The majority of us concluded that the quartet must be selected on the basis of actual performance in June rather than on the basis of stale reputations. There will therefore be held a long try-out, compulsory for all members, and at the conclusion a quartet will be selected by the blindfold test.
It is hoped that no one will go to the reunion by automobile without first ascertaining that none of the brethren in his vicinity care for a free ride.
H West is the author of an essay called "The Dreamer of Devon," an essay on Henry Williamson, which has been published by the Ulysses Press in London. Copies of the essay will be available in the Hanover book stores at the reunion in June, and the attention of everyone is called to H's accomplishment. In the fall, his book "R. B. Cunningham Grahame, His Life and Works," will be published by Boris Wood, Ltd., of London. This is an extended work on H's friend and literary idol. H is in England at the present time.
Your servant was elected president of the Secretaries Association at the May meeting, and will preside at the annual meeting next year.
Eaton Leith, Jimmie Hamilton, Oley 0lsen, and your servant had lunch together on Sunday, May 8, on the porch of the Outing Club, and thereafter sat all afternoon with our feet on the railing. All of these gentry were in the pink. Eaton has begun the building of a house in Hanover which will be done in September.
More particulars about the marriage of Sterry Waterman on May 14 will appear later.
