McDavitt Heads Council

Clarence G. McDavitt '00 was recently elected president of the Dartmouth College Athletic Council to succeed Lloyd K. Neidlinger '23, who assumed the position of assistant dean of the College in September. Professor B. H. Brown will be secretary of the Council for the current year.

A third alumni representative on the Council, to fill the vacancy created by the death of Joseph T. Gilman '05, will be chosen at the meeting of the Alumni Council in New York on November 10.

The Athletic Council is made up at present of Harry R. Heneage '07, supervisor of athletics; Clarence G. McDavitt 'OO and Edwin B. Dooley '27, alumni members; Professors Charles A. Proctor '00, Leslie F. Murch, and Bancroft H. Brown, faculty members; and David H. Callaway Jr. '34, Thomas D. Hicks '34, and John M. Hinsman '34, undergraduate members.
