Our sympathy is extended to Arthur P. Greeley in the-Joss of his wife, Helene Herzog Greeley, who died on Saturday, August 4, at her residence, 2638 Garfield St., Washington, D. C. Interment was in Prospect Hill Cemetery in that city.

Charles H. Glidden has been collaborating with Dr. John M. Brewer, associate professor of education in Harvard University, on a textbook for junior high schools. His work is nearly completed, as only the finishing touches are needed. He is working alone on a book describing early Indian days in New England. Glidden has done considerable writing of short stories and sketches for various publications in the last few years.

Stephen M. Ryder, at one time a member of 1883, returned with Mrs. Ryder from a trip around the world in the late spring. This is said to be Ryder's third trip of this kind. He is still engaged in the manufacturing business in Niagara Falls, N. Y.
