The class letter sent August 29 covered the '92 news to so late a date that there is little to add a week later.
Coombs' address is changed from Garfield, N. Y., to Stephentown, N. Y., but these are adjoining towns, and probably this is just a change in address and not a change in churches on Coombs' part.
Among the cuttings I had made for class notes was one from the Boston Transcript commenting favorably on a suggestion which Belknap had made in his paper in regard to a suitable memorial to President Coolidge in Plymouth, Vt. He proposed that the state should acquire the Coolidge properties and the schoolhouse, church, and store, and allow them to be used just as they are at present, simply being responsible-for their preservation in good condi- tion. I was interested to see that, at a meeting held in Plymouth after Belknap's death, this idea secured warm support from the assembly.
