The sympathy of the class will go out to Bill Cheever in the loss of his wife, Annie Gillis Cheever, who passed away suddenly this summer. "Peggy" Cheever will always be remembered as a vivid memory of our reunions. Her golden voice is now hushed, but you can all recall how it filled the Little Theatre at one of our earlier reunions, and how much it always added to the old songs, as she willingly joined with the crowd. Beth and Steve Stevens attended the funeral which was held in Manchester, N. H.
Gene Leach was re-elected president of the New Hampshire Orphans Home at Webster Place, Franklin, N. H., this summer, at the annual meeting.
Chan Cox gave the principal address at the 64th Commencement of the Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester, Mass., in June.
Mary Elizabeth Stevens has entered the freshman class at Smith College, and it was a pleasure to introduce the daughter to Mrs. Laura Lord Scales, and to find that in spite of caring for 2000 girls as warden of the college, Mrs. Scales still carries on in that quiet serene way that has always been characteristic of her.
Edgar Hunter presided as chairman of the Republican convention held in Concord, N. H., in September. Ed is mentioned as the probable speaker of the House of Representatives for the coming year, or at least will hold down that responsible position as chairman of the Appropriations Committee, as he did two years ago. In addition to his political activities, and Rotary interests, he, as engineer, is supervising a building program at the New Hampshire State Prison.

We understand that Joe and Bunker invited themselves for a trip to Florida, in Charlie Kimball's yacht, this winter, but then the trip was called off, when it was found that Bunker's Lincoln could not possibly be put on the yacht. Word has just been received of the sudden death of Joe Colby. No particulars as yet, but obituary notice will appear in the next issue.
