Augustus C. Wiswall, ex-'07, writes that his son, Boit Wiswall, entered Dartmouth this fall. He graduated from Tabor Academy, Marion, Mass., in June.
Two bits of news about Bishop Niles. His daughter has transferred from' Sweetbriar College, Virginia, to St. Andrews University, near Edinburgh, Scotland, for the present college year. Bishop and Addison W. Closson have recently announced the formation of a partnership under the name of Niles and Closson to carry on a general real estate and insurance business with offices at 44 School St., Boston. Closson is a Harvard graduate of the class of 1930, and like Bishop has spent his entire business life in the real estate business. Success to the new partnership!
A. E. Stevens, who for many years has been engaged in department store work in Boston, having held important executive assignments in Filene's and Gilchrist's, has recently become general manager of the Smith-Murray Company, one of the largest department stores in Bridgeport, Conn. His present home address is 60 Stratfield Road, Fairfield, Conn., and Steve invites classmates to call on him whenever they get to or near Bridgeport.
Ted Foster, who is president of the Richard Young Company, 36 Spruce St., New York City, is reported to have spent his summer at Southold, L. I. His son, Ted Jr., went to England with a Tabor Academy delegation which attended the Henley Regatta and later toured on the Continent. The son of Tubby Gray '06 was a member of the same party. Lois Foster, Ted's daughter, graduated last summer from Sweetbriar College. Ted Jr. has returned to Tabor Academy, and, I think, may be heard of in Hanover before many years. Mrs. Foster and Ted were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Woodworth during the Harvard-Dartmouth football game weekend.
Dr. Earl B. (E. B.) Fowler of Chicago and Oak Park is reported to have vacationed in Colorado this summer.
Tom Perry is in business with E. A. Pierce & Co., an investment house at 40 Wall St., New York City, and lives in the Greenwich Village section. Tom is a widower, and his two daughters live with his mother in Vermont.
Herb Hinman drove North recently from his home in Newport News, Va., for a vacation in New England. His daughter Ann accompanied him and entered school at Greenwich, Conn.
Walter G. Kennedy is now associated with Hammons & Co., Inc., 75 Federal St., Boston.
