Tony Geniawicz, freshman football and track star from Lynn, Mass., smashed a college record of 19 years' standing when he put the 16-pound shot 49 feet inches in the varsity-freshman track meet of February 17. The old mark made by L. A. Whitney '15 was 48 feet i/2 inch. Geniawicz' heave also eclipsed the indoor college record of 46 feet made by "Doc" Spears '17 in 1916.

John Hoffstetter, freshman from Erie, Pa., broke the gymnasium record for the 300 when he did the distance in 32 1/5 seconds, lowering the old mark of Al Hine, varsity star, by one-tenth of a second. Bob Quimby, junior miler, clipped a second off the 1000-yard gymnasium record of R. W. Letteney '24 when he finished in 2 minutes 16 4/5 seconds.
