Balloting by alumni clubs in several sections of the country has been in progres in recent weeks, in accordance with amendments to the Alumni Council con stitution adopted last June. The results of nominations submitted by alumni clubs for members to fill vacancies on the Council are:
New England States: Richard E. Pritchard '14 of New Britain was the only nominee from this district: therefore nomination was equivalent to election. On July 1 he will begin a full term in his own right after having been elected in June, 1934, to finish the unexpired term of Arthur A. Adams '94.
Middle Atlantic States: There are three nominees in this district. Election ballots sent to all voters on May 1 carry the names of: John H. McElroy '03 of Albany, Karl R. Maerker '10 of Pittsburgh, and Sumner B. Emerson '17 of Philadelphia.
Southern States: In this, the newly formed district of the Council, the selection of three nominees is equivalent to election. Election ballots will go out, however, to determine the length of the term of each man—the nominee receiving the highest number of votes will serve for three years, the next highest for two years, and the third highest for one year. The nominees are: Warren C. Kendall '99 of Washington, William A. Green Jr. '14 of Dallas, who has served one term of three years as a representative of the Western States, and Allan C. Gottschaldt '18 of Atlanta.
Central States: There are two nominees from this district Fletcher R. Andrews '16 of Cleveland, and Ford H. Whelden '25 of Detroit, who is up for re-election, having served one term of three years.
Middle Western States: Ballots sent out for the election of one of the two nominees from this group carry the names of: Horace G. Hedges '11 of Cedar Rapids, John E. Sunderland '20 of Omaha.
Rocky Mountain and Pacific States: Frank J. Reagan '09 of San Francisco is the only nominee from this section. He will therefore begin his second three year term of office on the Council on July 1.
